About

I grew up in Miami, Florida where I shared my backyard with alligators, drank too much Cuban coffee, and learned to skin-dive for spiny lobster.

I have a bachelor’s degree in English from Harvard where I spent most of my time making theater, some of my time writing stories, and a bit of time wearing fishnets.

I have a master’s degree in Philosophy and Education from Columbia where I fell in love with Heidegger, Greene, and Dewey and spent plenty of time making mischief in the city that never sleeps.

I taught English and Drama at the Arts and Academics Academy, where I was constantly reminded how brilliant and exhausting adolescence (and adolescents) can be.

I live and write in Seattle, Washington where... I'm home.
